Designed for Architectural Innovations, this was a fast track conversion of a waterfront WWII concrete paper storage warehouse building into a fully accessible, 20,000 SF multi-purpose catering/conference center. The project's program requirements included flexible catering facilities, a full kitchen and administrative spaces for use by flag officers and related Washington Navy Yard activities. The On-Site Design was completed in three days in the Public Works Conference room. In attendance were the Engineers in Charge, Reviewers from Public Works, Client Activity Representatives, and the Architectural/ Engineering design team.
